Sarah A. WILSON, JD
Personally and professionally, Sarah consistently raises the bar for the benefit of others before herself. A true momma-bear to her sons, wife to her husband, daughter and sister to her family, she approaches her work in a manner that brings clients closer to "family and friends" than one might expect.
Armed with the knowledge gained at The George Washington University and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, Sarah served Pike County as an Assistant District Attorney for over a decade and as Special Counsel for Children & Youth Services. Eventually, she transitioned to private practice with Douglas J. Jacobs. It is there that Sarah dove head first into title searches, title insurance, and real estate settlements while also building up experience in transactional law.
Now a principal in Black Bear Abstract with her partner, Jenn, Sarah serves as a licensed title agent in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Jennifer p. onofry, jd
With 3 cubs of her own, Jenn's dedication to her family rivals only that of her business partner, Sarah. Yet this well-traveled individual finds time to keep her husband and kids on track while running (literally and figuratively) all over to get the jobs done.
Raised all over the world while her father served our country, she attended La Salle University. Worked as a hydrogeologist. Earned her law degree at Pace University School of Law. Held an associate position at Fitzpatrick Cella, a leading intellectual property firm. Served Orange and Sullivan County, New York as an Assistant District Attorney and then did the same for Pike County. Transitioning to the role of Public Defender and then special counsel for Pike County Children & Youth, while working with her husband in private practice, she's now a principal at Black Bear Abstract with Sarah.
Jenn, like Sarah, is a licensed title agent in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Douglas j. jacobs, Esq.
mentor & Consultant
Former District Attorney for Pike County, and longtime title agent for Fidelity National that also practiced law for 30 plus years, Doug's taught us all he knows about searches, insurance, and settlement. Of course, we keep him around because you can never truly squeeze all the knowledge out of one person. Not to mention he's become family to us.
A father to three, and husband to his partner in life and business, Sue Ann, Doug’s passion is people. Fueling faith-based and Special Olympics events sits atop his personal achievements, behind those of his family of course.
